IT Support & Help Desk
Our IT Support & Help Desk service delivers a business critical service to our clients. We are continually working to develop and deliver a Help Desk that is equipped with the infrastructure, the methodologies, the processes and procedures, the management and the skilled technicians to ensure we meet your business IT support needs. Close interaction with your business allows us to provide you with expertise and information to reduce your business costs, increase efficiency, and highlight emerging issues or opportunities for leverage into the future.

The majority of your IT support calls are resolved by our locally based technicians then and there on your first call. As a client of Orstead you have your own Account Manager who is accountable to you in ensuring that every support call is resolved, and to your complete satisfaction. You have full access to our Issue Resolution system that tracks and manages all of your support issues.

As part of our IT Support & Help Desk service we are able to supply you with detailed reporting and regular reviews investigating issue resolution rates, support cost drivers, employee feedback, emerging issues and potential future IT strengths and weakness. The support information we collect for you is valuable input into your IT strategy and we work with you to ensure we deliver all the information your business needs.

Our flexible and cost effective service allows you to define the level of support you require in order for you to achieve your company’s IT support goals and objectives. One of our consultants will be more than happy to discuss your options and goals with you to ensure you get the best fit possible. Monitoring
Our Monitoring service provides continual monitoring of your network, immediately notifying our operations centre of any issues. These issues are logged and tracked in our issues resolution system. You are then contacted and a detailed report is sent describing the issue, its severity and implications.

The standard Monitoring service includes the following;

Real-time monitoring of all network systems
Real-time monitoring of all server systems
Daily checks on overnight tasks, such as backups
Daily morning status reports
Monthly systems resource usage reports


Maintenance & Security

Our Maintenance & Security service is designed to keep your network and servers operating at peak performance. This service is offered at a fixed monthly cost, making sure both your infrastructure and your accounting deliver as promised.

In designing a solution that best suits your business we discuss with you what systems you need us to manage and what tasks need to be performed when.

As part of our standard service we carry out the following:

Monthly Microsoft patching of servers and workstations
Monthly anti-virus and anti-spam software checks


As part of our advanced service we carry out the standard service tasks above, plus the following:

Monthly server log checks
Monthly remote access log checks
Monthly testing of restoring from backup
Monthly reporting on the results of test restoring from backup
Monthly server and network 'hardening testing'*

* Hardening Testing - we use industry best practice security software to probe your network and servers for any vulnerabilities. This service achieves a high level of pre-emptive security, identifying potential vulnerabilities that may be exploited in the future.

Network Maintenance & Management Report
Each time a task is completed we document the task, the outcomes and any implications. All of this information is presented to you once a month in your Network Maintenance & Management report. Orstead make sure you are always fully informed of the current state of your systems and the implications of any emerging or future issues.
