The Challenge
Tactics Consulting is a national people performance company that designs, develops and delivers blended knowledge and support solutions to business. They have offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
They had developed an aggressive three year growth strategy that involved significant increases in clients, revenue and staff. They needed an IT strategy that aligned with and enabled the planned growth but they didn’t have the in-house expertise required to develop the strategy.
The initial challenge involved partnering with an IT services company that understood their business needs and who could deliver an IT strategy that addressed and supported the business strategy.
Tactics Consulting wanted the infrastructure solution to meet their current needs but also be flexible enough to meet their future growth. One of their aims was to establish a national based culture that allowed the three offices to operate seamlessly together.
Orstead’s Solution
Tactics Consulting initially
engaged Orstead’s IT Strategic Planning service
to develop an IT strategy that aligned with the
three year business strategy. The Orstead team worked
closely with the Tactics Consulting leadership team
to understand the company’s primary business goals.
Tactics then engaged Orstead's Network Design &
Installation service, Systems Integration service
and the Procurement service to implement the recommendations
of the strategy.
The existing infrastructure was enhanced to achieve two goals:
