Our employees are achieving ITIL certification
as we work towards implementing ITIL, the
internationally recognised IT Services Management
framework.
Implementing ITIL is part of Orstead's
strategic initiative to implement international
best practice. This strategic initiative
will ensure we deliver high quality IT Services
to our clients as set down in Orstead's
mission statement. It will allow us to better
deliver capabilities and resources through
our services that are useful and acceptable
to our clients when they consider quality,
cost and risk.
Orstead have chosen ITIL as our Service Management framework as it is recognised internationally as successfully defining IT Service Management best practices. As a result there are ample training and certification facilities available for ITIL in Australia. Implementing ITIL is considered a solid starting point for achieving ISO/IEC 20000 for IT Service Management.
Complimenting and supporting ITIL Orstead
is also introducing Prince2 (PRojects IN
Controlled Environments) a project management
methodology also recognised as international
best practice.
